Medications
Medication is one tool in your care, not the business model. When medications are part of your plan, we offer near-cost pricing through Bloom or coordinate with your insurance, plus prior authorization support to help you access coverage.
Our Approach
"Medication is just one tool — not the focus of care."
You see the cost, the source, and the why. No hidden markups, no surprise bills.
Medications are not required. Plans are built around your biology, your history, and your goals.
Treatment decisions follow the data, not the marketing or the margins.
Weight Management Medications
Treatment plans are individualized. Some patients do well with lifestyle-focused care alone; others benefit from medication support. When medications are part of your plan, here are the options and what they cost.
GLP-1 medications
Both injectable and oral formulations
Oral weight management medications
Such as Contrave, phentermine-based options, and others
Combination and individualized approaches
Tailored to your response, side effects, and goals
Through your insurance pharmacy
Sent to your preferred pharmacy and processed through insurance when covered
Directly through Bloom
When appropriate, offered at reduced, near-cost pricing
Prices reflect the underlying cost at each dose. Pricing is consistent across doses, not marked up at higher doses.
Injectable GLP-1 / GIP
~$130–~$250
per month, depending on dose
Injectable GLP-1
~$80–~$155
per month, depending on dose
Wegovy, Zepbound, Foundayo, etc.
$149–$499
per month cash; may be covered by insurance
Some patients gradually increase dose over time. We review expected costs with you before making any changes.
By comparison: other programs
Most programs generate revenue primarily through medication markups. At Bloom, near-cost pricing is a patient benefit, not a revenue strategy.
DPC Generic Medications
Direct Primary Care members will have access to a selection of common generic medications at transparent, near-cost pricing. Same philosophy, applied across the practice.
Everyday prescriptions for blood pressure, cholesterol, diabetes, thyroid, and more.
Pricing reflects what the medication actually costs, with no hidden markups.
A complete formulary with transparent prices is coming as part of the DPC launch.
In the meantime, current and prospective DPC members can ask Dr. Katya directly about any specific medication you take or are prescribed.
Insurance Support
Bloom doesn't accept insurance for the care itself. But if your insurance covers your medication, we handle the work to help you access that coverage, including prior authorization paperwork and appeals.
For patients without insurance coverage, Bloom's near-cost direct pricing is often comparable to or better than typical cash prices through retail pharmacies.
We complete and submit the clinical documentation insurers require.
If a request is denied, we work with you on the appeal.
We help you compare and choose the most affordable path for your situation.
